This season has seen a strange assortment of weather but the fishing as been very good !

After probably one of the worst winters we have had here in Normandy, things are changing for the better, we have had several fishing matches on the lakes with carp being caught, so the fish are starting to move around and feed. let's hope this season sees the same fantastic carp fishing that we had in 2010.

All ready for the 2011 Season

As with the rest of Europe we had a lot of snow this year !

It's all gone now and we are gearing up for the start of the new season on the first of March.

Another season draws to a close with Sam & Bill back for the third time this year, Sam, fishing with girl power landed a P.B. 34.5lb Mirror while the poor old hubby could only just break 20lb with a common.

It rained a lot for the first half of the week and was cloudy with a breeze for the rest, the Saturday of departure saw the sun arrive and tempretures climb back to 25°.

Mark, Gerry, Colin, Gerald and Uncle Barry found the fishing a lot slower than their visits in previous years, the weather turned cold but still a few fish came in.

Dave & Roy take 63 fish

Dave & Roy, back for their third year at Etang du Moulin landed 63 carp up to 29.5lb last week, a mixed bag of weather with sunshine and heavy showers could not dampen their spirits as the fish kept comming.

Kamiel's long week end

It rained for the first time in around seven weeks but this did not stop Kamiel pulling in a few nice carp, he also fly fished the day ticket lake and found a couple of trout to take home.

Two weeks & over 160 carp, back for the second time this year Lailah, Chris & Robert all had thirties, the fish where comming day & night as the water warmed up !

Two men called Chris, Warm weather & a little rain but the fish have started to spawn, lot's of fish caught but only up to 23lb.

It's like bloody November with cold winds & frost but this week still had three thirties on the bank with a lot of smaller fish.

It's turned cold again with the wind blowing from the North East, but novice fishermen Sam takes a pb at 25lb while Bill does the same with a 20lb mirror, Joe could only find the silver fish & Tench !

Tony & Ger's two weeks in the sun !

Tony & Ger spent two weeks in the sun & Ger landed 44 carp with two over 30lb.

The warmest weekend of the season so far but the fishing was slow, the lads fished the top lake and only Derek managed to find a thirty and a seventeen.

Kyle's 200lb haul

Kyle's PB before his visit was 14lb, he smashed that with a 31lb mirror this week, a total catch of 14 fish took the poundage to over 200lb!

Long Weekend 28th - 30th March

Gavin & Wills long weekend saw them land nine fish on Sunday night with Will taking a 23lb 12oz Common and a 28lb 8oz Mirror both PB's Gavin landed a 29lb 8oz Mirror.

The weather is warming up and the fish are starting to move.

The first week of the season is of to a flying start, a very cold wind kept everybody shivering but two carp over thirty pounds and a lot of smaller carp made an appearance !
